Brown Dog Tick(Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
1/16" - 1/8"

Brown, leathery dog ticks can live indoors, where engorged females can lay up to 5,000 eggs. These parasites feed on blood from dogs and large mammals. After feeding, they hide in cracks and crevices and can live months without feeding. With service, we recommend veterinary treatment for your dog.

On the other hand, the American dog tick is seldom a problem in homes but can be found along outdoor paths and tall grassy areas. Regular treatment and vegetation control is required. Covered under the Brantley Year ‘Round Protection Plan
